International’s help
SNIP International has been donating TNR equipment to Stichting Zwerfkatten Nederland (Foundation for Feral Cats in the Netherlands) for 10 years and seen them grow into the large, influential cat welfare charity that they are today.
With SNIPi’s help, Stichting Zwerfkatten Nederland has yielded some truly remarkable moments and breakthroughs. Our donation of equipment has helped to humanely control the cat population in the Netherlands.
A Successful Year of Trapping
Many feral cats and kittens were trapped during the year, thanks to the equipment provided by SNIPi and the hard work of Stichting Zwerfkatten Nederland. During 2023 they managed to neuter 1,400 feral cats!
An Unusual Escape, A Unique Solution
Whilst the mesh floor traps would usually be utilised to trap outdoors, in a twist of events, a feral cat managed to escape indoors, just before she was about to be spayed. She ran to a narrow space between several closets. Luckily, the donated trap, fitted just perfectly between the closets, providing an unexpected solution.

Nurses Best Friend Restrainer Plus
The Nurses Best Friend Restrainer Plus is an integral part of Stichting Zwerfkatten Nederland’s toolkit. This restrainer not only assists in safe captures before neutering but also plays a vital role in handling feral kittens for vaccination. It’s their protective shield against diseases like Feline Parvo or cat flu. The use of the restrainer has been so effective that it’s featured in their TNRC handbook TNRC handbook

In the spirit of collaboration and continued success, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the SNIPi community. Your belief in our mission, keeps us moving forward.

HOW WE CAN HELP YOU
Advice
SNIP International was founded in 1996, and ever since, we have accumulated our knowledge base on animal welfare and on TNR. The small but dedicated team of SNIPi volunteer trustees are all experts in their fields, willing to transmit their knowledge for the benefit of animals.
We have gathered a lot of practical advice in our FAQ section, with links to sources of further information. If needed, you can contact us for non-urgent advice, and the SNIPi team members will reply to you within their possibilities (time constraints).
Connections
Having worked with animal welfare groups all over the world for a long time, we know many of them. Please check FAQ / Useful links and if necessary, contact us by email.
TNR Grants
Between 1996 and 2024, SNIP International distributed over 2,300 pieces of equipment to 96 countries, benefiting 681 animal welfare groups worldwide.
